With your PBA membership, you may take advantage of up to $150 in tuition discounts for PBI courses!
Attorneys who are members of both the PBA and their county bar associations may take advantage of "PBI CLE Discounts." The more PBI courses you attend, the more you will save. Membership benefits matter and save you money!
The following conditions apply to these PBI Discount Coupons:
PBI is approved by the Pa. Supreme Court Continuing Legal Education Board as an accredited CLE provider. Each program has been approved by the Pa. Continuing Legal Education Board for the hours of CLE credits for which are indicated. For each accredited program, PBI must pay a fee to report your credits. PBI is also an accredited sponsor of the mandatory CLE in AL, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IO, LA, ND, NY, OH, and WV (NOTE: not so for Online CLE, although we can assist you to apply for credit for our online courses in many jurisdictions). The number of credits that will be awarded for attendance is determined by the accreditation agencies in these states.
PBI reserves the right to substitute speakers at all programs.
Preregistration is encouraged; registration at the door will be permitted only as space allows.
Please note: we cannot always guarantee books for walk-in registrants. Those intending to register at the door should telephone PBI at (800) 932-4637 to confirm that there have been no changes in location, date or time.
Ticket Policy: An Express Check-In Ticket is not required to gain admittance to a course for which you have preregistered. However time permitting, an Express Check-In Ticket will be mailed to you in advance of the course. Presenting it at the door will expedite your registration on the day of the course.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your registration, you must notify PBI by mail or FAX no later than 2 working days prior to the course presentation date for the appropriate site, in order to receive a refund for cancellation (less a $25 administrative fee). If you do not attend the course and did not notify PBI 2 days in advance, you will receive the course materials in full consideration of tuition paid.
PBI occasionally (though rarely) cancels programs. We make every effort to contact registrants to inform them of such cancellations. If you are not pre-registered, check our web site or call 800-932-4637, ext. 2325, just before leaving for the program, to be sure it has not been cancelled.
Registration Transfer Policy: Requests for transfers will be honored if they are received by mail or fax by the date of the course presentation from which you wish to be transferred.
To receive an application, write to Scholarship Administrator, PBI, 5080 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-6903, call Customer Service at (717) 796-0804 or click here to download the form now (PDF = 24k, acrobat software required). Please note: scholarships are not available for online courses.

Handicapped access at PBEC
Our facility in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Bar Education Center, is accessible to the handicapped. The center is on the 10th floor of the Wanamaker Building, between 13th and Juniper streets on Market St. The building lobby on Juniper Street has an automatic door on the left side. Once inside, facing the entrance to Lord and Taylor, there is an elevator to the far left of the lobby, which goes down to the parking garage and up to the lobby. Take the elevator up one level and then cross back over (south) to the other wing of the mezzanine lobby to get to the elevator bank that takes you to the 10th floor. The Wanamaker Building's restrooms are also handicapped-accessible.
A ten-day return privilege applies to all book orders, less a $6.00 handling fee. The return privilege does not apply to audio CDs; however, we will be happy to replace defective CDs at no cost to the customer.
E-pub purchases are final. E-pubs may not be returned.
Tuition subsidies are available from some county bar associations. Call PBI's Customer Service Department for more information.
Due to enhanced security measures at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia, patrons of PBI?s Education Center now must show a photo ID and/or attorney ID card to gain admittance beyond the building lobby. Those taking CLE will be welcomed by PBI staff in the lobby, and will receive a ticket that will allow them admittance to the Education Center, where they will receive their course materials. Patience and cooperation during this process is appreciated.
