Theodore J. Murphy, Esq., W. John Vandenberg, Esq., Ayodele Gansallo, Esq., LLM, Rosina C. Stambaugh, Esq., Thomas M. Griffin, Esq. & Katelyn M. Hufe, Esq. present a panel that discusses what you need to know about grounds of inadmissibility and removal, including when you need a lawyer & pro tips; the big issues in waivers, what is extreme hardship; and what you need to know about all those forms. During the second hour, the discussion turns to immigration relief available to those in removal proceedings and immigration court procedures in light of recent decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court, the Attorney General and Board of Immigration Appeals, highlighting possible strategies to assist those seeking to regularize their immigration status. In the third hour, a panel discussion focuses on both procedures and strategies for pursuing administrative and judicial through the Board of Immigration Appeals and the circuit courts of appeals in an increasingly difficult climate. The panelists outlined various tools that can be used after receiving a denial from an immigration judge, including motions to reopen, motions to reconsider, and motions to remand. These strategies were then discussed in the context of a specific factual scenario.
