About

Susan L. Brooks is the Associate Dean for Experiential Learning at the Drexel University Kline School of Law. She has written extensively and has conducted workshops in the U.S. and across the globe to promote “Relational Lawyering,” an integrative humanistic approach to strengthening emotional intelligence, cross-cultural lawyering, and resilience. In her presentation, Professor Brooks provides a roadmap to understanding trauma, vicarious trauma, toxic stress and workplace burnout, and she demonstrates how employing relational lawyering can help you work more effectively with clients and others in your life.

Recorded during a live webcast of The Brain in August 2019.
