New legislation related to data processing, security practices or breach notification procedures also was passed in at least eight other states. This session will: (i) provide an update on compliance requirements under some of these new laws and regulations; (ii) provide guidance on how to navigate the increasingly complex patchwork of state laws on data privacy and security; and (iii) consider the practicability and advisability of U.S. businesses having two different privacy schemes – one for the E.U. and one for the U.S.
Presenters: Stephen M. Foxman, Esq. and Roger J. LaLonde, Esq.
