Pennsylvania Bar Institute
Bringing Excellence to CLE
New Attorneys: We're Here to Help!
Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) is the non-profit continuing legal education arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Our mission is to provide Pennsylvania lawyers with information that is timely, practical, cost effective, and of the highest possible quality.
For more than thirty years, we’ve been the Commonwealth’s premier provider of CLE and practical reference materials. Choose from our wide selection of live courses, live webcasts, archived online CLE, podcasts, publications, and audio CDs to bring excellence to your practice.
Just for you
In every major area of practice, we develop courses especially for those new to practice, or making a transition from one area of practice to another. You'll find many of these in the New Attorney Training category of our web catalog; links below will take you to these sections of the catalog.
Those admitted to the bar recently may attend most courses for a reduced tuition fee. These are listed with other tuition fees in our online and print catalogs and brochures.
New Attorney Liaison
Please contact our Customer Service Department and ask for the New Attorney Liaison to help guide you to our products that will meet your needs.
Free this week
Every week, we offer a different "e-pub" free, and a free online course with all the features of the regular course, except CLE credit. Check weekly for something new under:
Bridge the Gap
The CLE Board requires every newly admitted lawyer to take a Bridge the Gap course. Several times a year, PBI offers this course free to those who must take it. To find any scheduled PBI presentations, type the word Bridge in the search box at the top of any page (no result of your search means the next presentations are not yet scheduled). Click here for more information on the CLE Board's Bridge the Gap requirement.
