We hear a lot every day about the “Millennial Generation” and how they are different from the rest of the population. To the extent that is true, it is a critical factor in understanding how modern juries assess damages, as more than a quarter of all jury pools are from this generation. Conventional wisdom is that Millennials are all entitled, anti-corporate slackers who are not concerned with morals, values or career advancement and have no sense of personal responsibility. Research, however, shows that’s not entirely true. For example, despite being viewed as “young and reckless,” Millennial jurors take safety very seriously and consider it one of the most important factors in determining damage awards.
What else is there to know about Millennial jurors? In this live webinar, the faculty will:
- Present exclusive DecisionQuest research that dispels some of the myths associated with Millennials
- Focus on Millennial jurors’ real attributes and the impact they have on their decision making
- Describe how those factors can impact damage awards
- Explain how to turn a better understanding of Millennials into an advantage in voir dire and at trial
Recorded during a live webinar in December 2017.
