About

The world, as we knew it, changed in early 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. The legal profession was not spared. Courts shut down and law firms laid off lawyers and staff. Fortunately, technology has been available to allow legal proceedings to continue in the virtual realm, but the technology is not without its flaws. In addition, we had to become familiar with technological tools that many of us had not been trained to use.In this session, we explore the challenges to conducting virtual legal proceedings in a way that mimics, as best as possible, the manner by which we had previously conducted them – which was in person.

Recorded at the Intellectual Property Law Institute in July 2020.
