This two-part program will offer five of ten continuing education requirements required for PCs in each two-year period after the initial appointment under Pa.R.C.P. 1915.11-1(b)(1)(ii), including one hour on domestic violence.  The program will offer updates on the local rules, policies and forms of the counties where parenting coordination has been adopted, technology training on the use of various online/virtual platforms for holding PC sessions, a discussion of pandemic-related custody issues, a presentation on coercive control and mental or physical abuse and its affect on co-parenting, a presentation on the PC’s role in reunification/co-parenting and how the PC helps to overcome resist-refuse dynamics, and a forum on frequently asked questions, including parenting coordination during ongoing litigation.

This program is cosponsored by the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.  The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  The Pennsylvania Psychological Association maintains responsibility for the program and its content.   The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is an approved provider for Act 48 Continuing Professional Education Requirements as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
