About

The first half of this program will provide a broad overview of the Medicaid program in PA. We will examine key concepts such as access to assistance and Medicaid Payment Models. Join us for a practical step-by-step overview of Pennsylvania's Medicaid application process, including practical tips and guidelines for completing and submitting the application materials and providing supporting documentation.

The second half of the program will explore dual eligibility. Millions of Americans are enrolled in both the Medicaid and Medicare programs - they are called "dual eligibles." This presentation will examine the characteristics of dual eligibility, the benefits that each program (Medicaid and Medicare) provides, how each program coordinates with the other, and the special problems that dual eligibility generates. We will also look at the impact of the Community Health Choices (CHC) initiative on access and utilization of health care by dual eligibles in Pennsylvania.

All attendees will receive the course materials as a digital book. A printed copy of the course book is available, at a discount to attendees, for $40. Additional copies are available at full price. If you wish to purchase the printed version of the course book, please call PBI customer service at 800-932-4637. Please allow up to two weeks after the program for the printed version of the course book to be shipped.
