Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be seen in all aspects of modern life, from automating work previously performed by people, to buying up highly-sought-after items like
concert tickets and PS5 consoles, to facial recognition and other AI software used in law enforcement actions, and many other functions. Yet AI is only as smart as the data it is fed and is limited by the vision of its creators. What are the pitfalls of uncritical reliance on AI? How does the use of AI affect compliance and regulation? How does it affect recruiting and hiring, and how can we guard against feeding our own biases into AI systems? How is the legal labor market affected by automation and how can we adapt to these changes? All these questions and more will be discussed in this panel.
