Accounting is math and, for most lawyers, math is not a friendly subject. Math and balancing chemical equations was the Lord’s message that the path of righteousness went through law school. Unfortunately, whether it’s to balance a checkbook or reviewing a tax return, math keeps creeping back into our lives. It’s not right but it’s real! And if you are involved in divorce cases, you need to evaluate the real income of a party or the real value of a business.
This session is devoted to a kinder and gentler approach to accounting. We promise that above it all, it will be practical. So, take a sedative and sit back for what we hope is a comfortable 90-minute ride.
Recorded at the PBA Family Law Section Winter Meeting in January 2021.
