About

All too often, civility and professionalism take a back seat during high-stress interactions among lawyers, clients, and judges.  Add in the challenges from the pandemic, and you’ve got a recipe for disrespectful, discourteous, and potentially sanctionable conduct.  Co-sponsored by the PBA Civility in the Profession Committee, presenters will use interesting vignettes based on real-life scenarios to:

  • Spark interactive discussions on how to be an effective advocate without sacrificing civility and professionalism
  • Provide tools to help navigate through volatile situations with opposing counsel and
  • Illustrate why lawyers and clients benefit when lawyers pursue civility and professionalism in their day-to-day practices

Recorded in April 2021.
