About

Join us to walk through a scenario to discuss what you need to do in anticipation of an extended stay in the hospital and what to expect and prepare for in the interaction with hospital/insurance administration to secure the best outcome.

Walk through a scenario of an older individual who has an unexpected traumatic health event that requires immediate transfer to the emergency room. We will discuss what this individual should have done prior to the traumatic event and what the person will likely experience in interacting with the hospital/insurance bureaucracy. Hear a discussion about how the continuum of care will play out and take away an understanding that the failure to adequately prepare and interact with the bureaucracy can have disastrous long term outcomes.

All attendees will receive the course book as a digital download. A printed copy of the course book is available, at a discount to attendees, for $40. Additional copies are available at full price. If you wish to purchase the printed version of the course book, please call PBI Customer Service at 800-932-4637. Printed versions of the course book will not be distributed at the course; please allow up to two weeks after the program for the printed versions of the course book to be shipped.

Recorded in October 2021.
