This session will incorporate lessons from The Why session, and focus on the practical application of inclusive practices in the workplace, including legal recruitment/retention, meetings, and performance management/feedback.
An inclusive workplace is an environment that values differences and engages all employees in the organization. In this session, best practices will be discussed to assist in creating and contributing to an inclusive workplace. A distinguished panel will examine how inclusive leaders:
- Promote inclusion and equity by enabling broad access to information, resources, and participation
- Exhibit behaviors that clearly encourage the contribution of different social identities to decisions and advocate the value of diverse perspectives to the organization.
- Encourage and facilitate intergroup collaboration by recruiting, appointing, and maintaining a diverse workforce
