About

Let’s face it: the Pennsylvania Rules of Appellate Procedure are long. If your firm does not specialize in appellate work, or you do not work for a large firm with an appellate division, it can take a seemingly inordinate amount of time to ensure you are handling an appeal properly, let alone effectively. The Superior Court and Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania both have legal staffs devoted to examining the propriety of appeals filed in those Courts and preparing the appeals for their panels of Judges. Listen as the chiefs of those legal staffs offer some procedural steps, helpful tips, and advice to ensure you are providing effective representation on appeal.

Recorded at the PBA Solo & Small Firm Conference in July 2021.
