About

The current Title IX regulations took effect on August 14, 2020.  The U.S. Department of Education announced that it anticipates that in April 2022, it will propose amendments to the current regulations.

The presenters co-chair Conrad O’Brien‘s Title IX and Campus Discipline Practice where they have represented more than 300 university students and faculty members at more than 150 higher educational institutions around the country who have faced Title IX disciplinary charges or who have sued their institutions for violations of Title IX. Ms. Hamill and Ms. Dakessian will discuss how the regulations have been implemented in higher education practice over the last year and a half, as well as the climate on college campuses today in enforcing Title IX, the efforts by many universities to avoid applying the new regulations, and the anticipated amendments to the Title IX regulations promised by the Department of Education. The focus of their presentation is on higher educational institutions and not on K-12.

All attendees will receive the course book as a digital download. Materials are not available for separate purchase.

Recorded in August 2022.
