About

Avoiding Legal Malpractice: May qualify for a discount on your CNA LPL insurance

This is the online version of the Avoiding Legal Malpractice program that has been provided to attorneys at county events in the Spring and Fall of each year by the PBA Professional Liability Committee. The program features information on a variety of issues that have been identified as common areas where attorneys can be exposed to liability or malpractice claims and focuses on steps we can all take to avoid, or at least mitigate, potential claims.

The Avoiding Legal Malpractice Seminar, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Insurance Program and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 2 hours of ethics, professionalism, or substance abuse CLE credit.

In addition, attorneys who are insured through the Pennsylvania Bar Association Insurance Program, advised and administered by USI Affinity, have the ability to earn up to a 7.5% discount on their malpractice insurance. The 7.5% credit will be pro-rated based on the number of attorneys in the firm who attend the seminar. The discount does not apply to part-time policies. Questions on your LPL insurance should be directed to USI Affinity at 610-537-1368.

Recorded in October 2022.
