As the data security and privacy landscape grows more complex, protection of information is an ever-increasing concern and requires specific knowledge and experience to mediate the risks associated with this evolving digital space. During this program, Jordan will provide a general overview of the current domestic data security and privacy landscape, including an update regarding the state privacy laws going into effect in 2023, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), and the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA). This program will address how state and federal regulators are tackling the current legal landscape while exploring the implications of new and evolving privacy laws on the future of data privacy in a digitally connected world.
