Edward McAndrew Esq.
Edward J. McAndrew, Esq. is a partner in the Digital Assets and Data Management Group at BakerHostetler. Ed counsels clients, leads investigations and litigates matters focused on cybersecurity, privacy, digital media, criminal, national security, commercial, employment, governance and intellectual property issues. He moves seamlessly between boardroom crisis management, digital investigation and courtroom presentation to mitigate liability or to enforce legal rights and remedies. He also advises clients on Internet speech issues, as well as governmental demands for data and assistance in regulatory, civil and criminal investigations. Ed served as a cybercrime prosecutor and National Security Cyber Specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2006-2016, and has worked in every major area of technology facilitated crime, including network intrusions, data theft, and cyber attacks; digital espionage; financial, government contracting, and tax fraud; money laundering; export control violations; cyberstalking; obstruction of justice; online child exploitation; narcotics and firearms trafficking; and terrorism. He has handled a multitude of high-profile, complex and sensitive investigations, trials and appeals—many involving cutting-edge legal and technological issues. Prior to his government service, Ed was a partner and the deputy leader of the litigation department at an international law firm. He began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Collins J. Seitz, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
David Sherman Esq.
David Sherman is a member of Baker & Hostetler’s Digital Assets and Data Management group where he works closely with clients to proactively assess and mitigate cyber risk, facilitate incident response preparedness and develop privacy and information security policies that comply with state, federal and international privacy and cybersecurity laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and E.U. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). He also works with clients to enhance enterprise security posture and manage responses to any digital crisis that may be present. He received his J.D., Brooklyn Law School, 2010; CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and his B.A., Hamilton College, 2007
