Faculty

Jeremy Oester

Mr. Oester has been working for Tableland Services Inc. for over a year and has a degree in Business Management. His role as a Pardon Coach/Outreach is assisting clients with the successful completion of pardon applications and submitting them for merit review before their hearing, and assisting with their preparation for their hearing, when the time comes. He also attend various community events educating the public, public officials, and community members about the importance of this project. Mr. Oester is receiving an award from Community Action Association of PA from their “Faces of Action” campaign for the work done in his roles at Tableland Services Inc. Mr. Oester presented The Pardon Project at UPMC Recovery events, to Somerset County Commissioners, and clients in Tablelands housing program, with more presentations in the works for this summer. Mr. Oester truly believe that this project is helping people and changing lives in the community and he is excited to be a part of it!

Megan E. Will, Esq.

Ms. Will practices in Somerset County where she is a member of the Somerset County Bar Association and focuses in the areas of real estate, family, juvenile, and estate planning and probate. She graduated from Duquesne University Law School in 2012 and from Susquehanna University in 2009 with a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in political science. She teaches paralegal courses at Penn Highlands Community College and is the only licensed attorney in Somerset County who is fluent in Spanish and able to represent Spanish speaking clients who require a translator. Ms. Will is actively involved in several nonprofit organizations including: Camp Sequanota, the Mary S. Biesecker Public Library, and Salvation Army of Somerset County. She and her husband are kinship foster parents. Ms. Will serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Solo & Small Firm Section Council and is the Council Secretary.

Suzanne S. Smith, Esq.

Ms. Smith has been practicing criminal defense for 25 years in York and Adams Counties. She graduated with a B.A. in English from St. Bonaventure University and received her J.D. from the University of Dayton, School of Law. In the early part of her career, Ms. Smith clerked for The Honorable John C. Uhler (Ret.) at the York County Court of Common Pleas. She subsequently joined the York County Public Defender’s Office where she worked for nearly eight years. In 2004, Ms. Smith started employment at Kearney & Marshall, which subsequently became Marshall and Smith in 2010. Ms. Smith has been involved in death penalty cases since 1995. She formerly served as President of the York County Bar Association and continues to be an active member of both the York County and the Pennsylvania Bar Associations. She also serves as a director on her local school board and teaches at Gettysburg College in her free time.
