Overview

In conjunction with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this program will highlight the women who influenced the fundamental principles underlying the Declaration, the Constitution, and the advancement of civil rights.  The lessons learned from these hidden stories will guide attorneys in recognizing and understanding the core principles that were at the forefront in founding our Nation.

The discussion will include:

• Abigail Adams and “Remember the Ladies”

• The Declaration of Sentiments

• Key court cases and laws, and

• The work that still needs to be done.

Attend and be inspired by these pioneers as we consider their skill sets, determination, and achievements and the ways to apply them in the practice of law and the preservation of the core principles that formed our Nation.

Co sponsored with the PBA Women in the Profession Commission.
