West Virginia attorneys must complete 24 CLE credit hours every two years, including:

  • 3 hours in Legal Ethics, Office Management, Substance Abuse, or Elimination of Bias.
  • 12 live credits (live, in-person, or qualified webcasts).

No. You may complete up to 12 credits through on-demand or recorded CLE. At least 12 credits must be earned through live programs (in-person or live webcasts).

You can complete up to 12 CLE credits online through recorded or distance learning programs. The remaining 12 credits must be through live instruction.

You need 24 total credits every two years, including 3 in Legal Ethics/Professionalism topics.
