Faculty

Caroline Austin Esq.

Ms. Austin is a
Partner at Duane Morris LLP in Philadelphia. She concentrates her practice in
employment litigation, employment policy development, preventative counseling
and training designed to avoid litigation, unionization and employee
attrition. Appearing before federal and state courts and administrative
agencies, Ms. Austin represents clients in connection with a broad range of
labor and employment matters, including age, race, gender, national origin
and disability discrimination, sexual and racial harassment, restrictive
covenants, breach of contract, and wage-and-hour laws. Ms. Austin served as
law clerk to Honorable Daniel H. Huyett, 3rd, Senior Judge, U.S. District
Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Austin is a 1994 graduate
of Temple University, Beasley School of Law, where she was associate research
editor of The Temple Law Review, and a graduate of Lehigh University.

Tracey Diamond Esq.

Ms. Diamond is an attorney with Troutman Pepper , resident in the Philadelphia office. She practices in the areas of employment law, human resources counseling and employment litigation. She regularly counsels clients on workplace issues, provides harassment training, drafts policies and procedures, negotiates employment and severance agreements, and partners with clients to structure their workforce in the most efficient and effective way possible. Ms. Diamond vigorously defends clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, state administrative agencies and federal and state courts. In addition to her practice, Ms. Diamond serves as an adjunct professor at Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law, where she teaches employment law and contract drafting. Prior to joining Pepper, Ms. Diamond was director of human resources and operations for Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, a not-for-profit charitable organization, where she was responsible for all human resources issues for more than 1,000 employees and contract administration for the agency’s union. She also was general counsel of a national retail optical company, where she oversaw the company’s employment law matters, negotiated commercial contracts and managed the litigation docket. Previously, Ms. Diamond served as a law clerk for a federal judge in the Southern District of New York, and also worked at several large law firms in New York City, Philadelphia and New Jersey. Ms. Diamond is regularly called on to speak and write about a multitude of employment law issues. Representative publications include: “It’s Now Easier Than Ever to Claim Discrimination Under the ADA,” New Jersey Municipalities magazine (July 2011); “Caution Advised in Policing Employees’ Web Chatter,” New Jersey Law Journal (January 31, 2011); “Sexting in the Workplace: A New Form of Harassment,” SNJ Business People (December 3, 2010); and “Keeping Secrets Secret: Protecting Contacts From Competitors in the Social Media World,” New Jersey Law Journal (November 8, 2010), reprinted in New York Law Journal (November 30, 2010). Ms. Diamond earned her law degree in 1992 from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar and articles editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. She received her B.S., magna cum laude, from Tufts University in 1988. Ms. Diamond is admitted to the bars of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
