The VA issued Final Regulations which became effective on 10/18/2018 that substantially impact the treatment of net worth, asset transfers, and income exclusions and created a three year look back period for transfer of assets for less than fair market value.  The implementation of these regulations have affected the ability to qualify for VA Aid and Attendance Benefits and can also, potentially, impact a person’s ability to qualify for Medicaid benefits.  This session will provide an overview of the 2018 VA regulations, their impact on VA Aid and Attendance Benefits eligibility and Medicaid eligibility.
