As the war in Ukraine and the global economic slowdown continue into 2023, this seminar will cover four timely topics for legal counsel to carefully consider. First, the seminar will address the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and U.S. anti-boycott regulations. With the Biden Administration set to ramp up enforcement in 2023, we will discuss the potential impact on the international activities of U.S. companies and their subsidiaries. Second, the seminar will discuss the significant stresses facing the U.S. immigration system, and what U.S. companies and employers need to know how to avoid costly missteps. Next, two international tax professionals will describe in detail how the global tax regimes for taxing multinational companies are undergoing a radical transformation. The final session will examine significant changes in multilateral trade. For over sixty years, there has been a worldwide trend favoring more open trade policies and the role of multinational organizations. Participants will learn how many countries are now reemphasizing the importance of protecting their key domestic industries and technologies.
All attendees will receive the course materials as a digital book.
Recorded in March 2023.
