About

Join the PBA Women in the Profession Commission for a discussion on reproductive health care in the context of early American case law.

Constitutional and historical scholars take a look at our jurisprudence to see when abortion “entered the chat” and to see how laws surrounding access to reproductive health care changed in pre-Roe case law.

Don your law school hats and get excited for this constitutional law class style CLE!

This entire Dobbs series was inspired by a podcast of Jonathan Van Ness’ (Getting Curious).  The planning committee is honored and excited to have the scholar from the episode, as well as two notable published scholars in this realm, join this program to discuss American reproductive case law history.

Join us in March for Part Three, the final program in the Series, The Legal History of Abortion: The Legal Impact of Dobbs on Precedent, Women, and More

The Dobbs decision has many overlapping considerations related to health law, privacy law, and civil rights, to name a few. It is one of the most analyzed and debated decisions in recent times.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession introduces a new series focusing on implications of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down Roe v. Wade

Three unique 1-hour webcasts drill down on the impacts that the Dobbs decision will have this year and in the years to come. Each program features authorities and influencers in this area who will offer analysis and perspective on the nuances of the decision.
