Overview

Legal talk on attorney misconduct and discipline.

If you are interested in how the regulation of Pennsylvania attorneys works and what cases have been decided recently that may impact your client or yourself, this program is for you—and it offers an enjoyable and convenient ethics credit!

Caselaw review and commentary.

Respondents’ lawyers and ethics experts Ellen Brotman and Amy Coco talk with Office of Disciplinary Counsel Elizabeth Livingston about disciplinary cases that have been decided in the past several months as well as recent ethics opinions. They will discuss what trends they are seeing in these cases, why Hearing Committees are sometimes reversed, and what issues lawyers need to be concerned about going forward.

Delivered in interview style, this one-hour seminar packs an educational punch.

The course is informative, educational and interactive as the panel shares perspectives on defending attorneys and how the system’s structure, precedent and policies influence their strategic choices.

All attendees will receive the course book as a digital download.

Recorded in April 2023.
