In this session, corporate attorney Keenan Holmes, and litigation attorney Andrew Lacy share their perspectives on how to help your clients avoid and assess risk when it comes to potential lawsuits from former employees.

Success(ion): Facilitating Successful Exits for Small Business Clients

M. Zane Johnson, Esq.

Zane is the Founder and Managing Attorney of MZA Legal, a Black-owned virtual law firm that helps self-funded entrepreneurs set a solid foundation for the future growth of their business. Zane’s long-term vision is to build a firm that extends access to justice and empowers everyday people to do extraordinary things. Zane received his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College, and his J.D. from Temple University. Prior to launching his own firm, Zane served as the Managing Attorney at Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, shepherding the organization into a period of stable growth. He has presented on topics related to innovation and access to justice individually and as a panelist for the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Philadelphia Bar Association among others. Zane is also a presenter for Law Practice CLE and Lawline.

Andrew Lacy, Jr, Esq.

A Cornell Law School graduate, made the Dean’s List in his first semester. Before founding The Lacy Employment Law Firm, specializing in employment law matters for workers, he worked at Reed Smith LLP and clerked for Federal Judge Cathy Bissoon. He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict, demonstrating his expertise as atrial lawyer.

Taylor M. Tieman, Esq.

Taylor M. Tieman, Esq. is an attorney and founder of Legalmiga Law, P.C. Rukayatu O. Tijani, Esq.

Rukayatu “Ruky” Tijani is a Trademark Attorney and the Founder, Creator, and Managing Attorney of Firm for the Culture. Keenan D. Holmes, Esq.

Keenan Holmes, Esquire, is the Founder and CEO of Ebony Law, a boutique business law firm with offices in Pittsburgh, PA and Chicago, IL.
