This session will build on the comprehensive materials and presentation from last year. This year we are fortunate to have Avram (Avi) Sacks returning for those who want to understand at a high level many of the important safety nets and issues facing our clients who have disabled children. This session will include an opportunity for you to ask questions no matter what your level of understanding.

Avram Sacks Esq.

Avram L. Sacks, is an
attorney in private practice, concentrating on Social Security law and
benefits. He is a former Assistant Regional Counsel for the Social Security
Administration, past editor of the CCH Social Security Law Reporter, the
author of two books on Social Security Law (CCH Social Security Explained, a
desktop manual for professionals, and CCH Social Security Benefits Including
Medicare, a benefits booklet for lay people), and a founding member of the
Special Needs Alliance advisory council. A member of the National Academy of
Elder Law Attorneys and the National Organization of Social Security
Claimant’s Representatives, Avram frequently lectures on Social Security
matters across the country, represents claimants before the Social Security
Administration and federal courts covering all areas of Social Security law,
including – but not limited to – disability claims, retirement benefit
issues, and overpayments, and advises clients on how to maximize their Social
Security retirement and survivor benefits through optimal claiming
strategies.
