Christina Simpson
A native of Adams County, Judge Simpson earned her undergraduate degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College and her Juris Doctor degree from the Dickinson School of Law. From 1997-2001, she served as Assistant District Attorney for Adams County, specializing in the prosecution of crimes involving domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. She also assisted the Title IV-D attorney in prosecuting support contempt matters. In recognition of her work, Judge Simpson received the Exceptional Woman in Public Service Award from the United Way of Adams County. In 2001, she joined the general practice law firm of Gates & Gates. P. C., managing their Gettysburg office and focusing on family law cases. In 2011, Judge Simpson established a general solo practice in Gettysburg, with a particular focus on mediation and collaborative solutions in family disputes. During her career in private practice, she served the Adams County Court of Common Pleas as an arbitrator, divorce hearing officer, guardian ad litem, and parent coordinator. Judge Simpson served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Research and Writing at Widener University School of Law from 2001-2002. She served as an Assistant Solicitor for Adams County Children & Youth Services in 2013-2014. She is formally trained as a facilitative mediator and collaborative law practitioner. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. In 2015, Judge Simpson became the first woman elected to the Adams County bench. Judge Simpson currently presides over divorce, custody and support cases and serves as the Administrative Judge for the Adams County Domestic Relations Section. One of her proudest accomplishments since taking the bench is the initiation of a therapy dog program to support children coming to court for custody proceedings.
Heather Kinsey JD, LMFT
Ms. Kinsey is a therapist and former family law attorney. She specializes in clinical issues associated with divorce and separation, high-conflict couples, blended families, coparenting, parent-child reunification, children’s adjustment to divorce and custody arrangements, and family therapy. Ms. Kinsey is an approved Parenting Coordinator, a divorce and custody mediator, and is trained as a custody evaluator. In addition, Ms. Kinsey has worked as a Mobile Therapist and Behavioral Specialist with high needs children. She also treats individual adults, adolescents, and children. Ms. Kinsey has previously volunteered for Good Shepherd Mediation and MCAP and participates in the Philadelphia Bar Association Custody Committee as well as a five-county family court interdisciplinary group. Ms. Kinsey is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and has attended numerous conferences and trainings through this international organization. Ms. Kinsey received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, her J.D. from Temple University, and her Masters in Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University.
Inna Materese Esq.
Ms. Materese, the founder of Materese Family Law concentrates her practice in all areas of family law, including but not limited to, divorce, complex custody issues, protection from abuse and support matters. She is actively involved with a variety of professional and community organizations. She is a Co-chair of the Membership Chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and serves as the Membership Development Committee Liaison to the Appellate Advocacy Committee of the PBA. Ms. Materese the Vice Chair of the Montgomery County Family Law Section, past President of the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court and served as the Dickman Seminar Chairperson for the Montgomery County Bar Association Family Law Section. Additionally, she has participated in several continuing education events as planner and faculty through the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Prior establishing her own practice, she was a Family Law Partner at Dischell Bartle Dooley, PC. Ms. Materese completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida prior to attending the Temple University James E. Beasley School or Law.
Helen Casale Esq.
Ms. Casale is a shareholder with Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller in Plymouth Meeting. She concentrates her practice in the area of domestic relations law, including child custody, divorce, support, adoption, property distribution, and abuse actions. She is a fellow of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and former Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section. She is also a leader in the ABA Section of Litigation and currently serves as the ABA Delegate for the Philadelphia Bar Association. She has spoken at several seminars regarding custody disputes, property division, marriage, and support issues. Ms. Casale is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Lynchburg College in 1990. Ms. Casale received her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden in 1994.
