Overview
This all-day virtual CLE program offers family law practitioners a comprehensive update on the issues shaping modern domestic relations practice. Designed for attorneys at all experience levels, the program combines substantive legal analysis with practical guidance for navigating increasingly complex cases. Sessions will include (1) a panel discussion of equitable distribution hearing officers and judges regarding commonly encountered equitable distribution issues; (2) an update on relevant support issues, including the 2026 tax code; (3) an overview of practical and ethical considerations in the use of artificial intelligence in family law practice, and (4) a thorough case law update, examining recent appellate decisions and their practical implications for daily practice. Throughout the day, presenters will emphasize real-world application and best practices, equipping attendees with relevant tools and concepts they can immediately integrate into their family law practice.
Faculty
Ann M. Funge, Esq.
Ms. Funge is one of three Permanent Divorce Arbitrators in the Philadelphia Family Court. She conducts proceedings on “date of separation”, annulment and divorce-related economic claims. She has practiced family law since graduating from law school in 1993. Ann previously was the principal of Funge Family Law, LLC, working on cases in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. She was the 2018 Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section and has chaired various committees in the Montgomery and Allegheny County Bar Family Law Sections, including Case Law Updates and Programming. She also was a three-time Council Member for the PBA’s Family Law Section and served on its Alimony Task Force. Ann served as President of both the Doris Jonas Freed Matrimonial Inn of Court, based in suburban Philadelphia, and the Pittsburgh Matrimonial Inn of Court. She is a current member of Philadelphia’s Nicholas Cipriani Inn of Court. Ann was a member of the PBA’s Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee from 1997 to 2025. In that capacity, she periodically provided informal ethics opinions on family law issues on behalf of the Committee. Ann holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia (1987) and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh (1993).
Julie R. Colton, Esq.
Ms. Colton is a partner at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, LLP where she is a member of the family law department. Ms. Colton is also an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she teaches Family Law. Prior to joining Obermayer, Ms. Colton worked boutique family law firms and clerked for the Honorable Kim D. Eaton in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Ms. Colton is a member of the PBA Family Law Section, incoming chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association Family Law Section and on the Board of Directors for Neighborhood Legal Services. She is also a Fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. Ms. Colton received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her Bachelors from Gannon University.
Mark B. Dischell, Esq.
Mr. Dischell is currently President of the firm of Dischell, Bartle & Dooley in Lansdale. He is past President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Dischell is past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, having served on its Executive Council and as chair of various committees. He was a Master of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court, a past chair of the Family Law Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association and a director of that association. Mr. Dischell is a member of the Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee, Task Force on Domestic Relations Law and formerly a member of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee. He is a frequent lecturer, author, moderator and course planner for the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and other organizations. Since 2005, Mr. Dischell has been named one of the Top Ten Leaders of Greater Philadelphia Matrimonial & Divorce Law, as well as a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.” He has also been selected as one of the Top 100 Pennsylvania Lawyers. Mr. Dischell is listed in The Best Lawyers of America from 1998 to the present, and was named by that publication as Family Law Lawyer of the Year for the Philadelphia Region in 2012. In 2016, he received the Eric D. Turner Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section. The award is given annually to a recipient for mentoring and dedication to the profession. Mr. Dischell received his B.A. from Dickinson College and his J.D. from Villanova University.
Mark A. Momjian, Esq.
A graduate of Columbia College and the Columbia University School of Law, Mr. Momjian is co-founder of Momjian Anderer, LLC, a family law practice based in Philadelphia. Listed in The Best Lawyers of America and Who’s Who in America, he is co-author (with his late father, Albert Momjian) of Pennsylvania Family Law Annotated, published by Thomson Reuters and currently in its fourteenth edition. Mr. Momjian writes and lectures frequently about trends in domestic relations, with a special emphasis on biotechnology’s impact on family law. His LGBTQ advocacy is co-extensive with his legal career. In the mid-1980s, Mr. Momjian served as a member of the Women’s Law Project’s Working Group on the Legal Rights of Lesbian Mothers, where he was an early advocate of second-parent adoption. His articles on marriage and transgender equality date from this period. Mr. Momjian served as the first co-chair of the Committee on the Legal Rights of Unmarried Cohabitants of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section. As a member of the Alternative Families Committee of the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section, he has presented across the country on topics ranging from the interstate recognition of same-sex marriage to the elimination of sexual orientation as a factor in child custody adjudication. Mr. Momjian is the recipient of many awards and honors for public service, including Pro Bono Attorney of the Year presented by the Center for Lesbian and Gay Civil Rights, the Cheryl Ingram Advocate for Justice Award presented by the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Outstanding Advocate Award presented by SeniorLAW Center, and the Earl J. Harrison Award for Distinguished Pro Bono Service. In 2002, he handled the first appellate case in the nation involving a former domestic partner’s legal obligation to pay child support, and in 2006, he successfully defended the constitutionality of the Grandparent Visitation Act before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Mr. Momjian is an adjunct professor of law at the Villanova University School of Law, where he has twice been awarded Adjunct Professor of the Year by the Student Bar Association. Mr. Momjian is also an adjunct professor of psychiatry at Drexel University’s College of Medicine, where he lectures on mental health law. A member of the Domestic Relations Advisory Committee of the Joint State Government Commission, Mr. Momjian is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is a member of the local bars of Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties.

Dorothy C. O’Neil is an accomplished family law attorney and one of the founding members of BOK Law & Mediation Services, PLLC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she focuses on helping families navigate complex transitions with compassion, clarity, and efficiency. Dorothy began her legal career litigating a wide range of family law matters, including complex divorce, custody, and support cases. Ashley Coleman, Esq.
Ashley Coleman represents individuals and families in complex and sensitive family law matters, providing compassionate and effective advocacy focused on achieving practical, efficient resolutions. Angelica L. Revelant, Esq., CVA, MAFF
Angelica Revelant (“Angel”) has more than 20 years of litigation experience as a former practicing family law attorney turned testifying financial expert. Her litigation support experience includes calculation of economic damages including lost earnings and lost profits, fraud and forensic engagements, disposable income calculations, marital and non-marital components of retirement plans and other deferred compensation benefits, and business valuations. She has regularly lectured on various litigation topics for local county bar associations, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and National Business Institute. Gabriella Lacitignola, Esq.
Gabriella Lacitignola is an Associate Attorney at Materese Family Law, P.C. and offers representation in all family matters, including custody, divorce, spousal and child support, and protection from abuse. She also previously served five years as an Assistant District Attorney at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Caitlin Foley, Esq. is a family law attorney at Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell and Hippel LLP, practicing in Montgomery, Chester, and Bucks Counties. Outside of her work with Obermayer, Caitlin frequently takes pro-bono cases with the Montgomery County Child Advocacy project and represents children involved in dependency or criminal matters. Garrett Helvy, MA
Garrett James Helvy, MA, is a student psychologist and researcher currently enrolled at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. After graduating sum cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 Garrett began the process of obtaining his Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D) and is currently in his 3rd year, with an expected graduation in 2028. In addition to his academic studies and clinical training work, he is planning a qualitative study on the lived experiences of college students who have used large language model artificial intelligence systems for psychotherapeutic purposes. Garrett also works part time at a neurobehavioral clinic and has been trained in the administration and use of qualitative electroencephalography (QEEG) for neurofeedback.
Stephanie Winegrad, Esq.
Ms. Winegrad is a partner in the West Conshohocken office of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, LLP. Her practice is concentrated in the area of family law including child custody, divorce, support and property division. Ms. Winegrad is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and an active member of the Family Law Sections of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations. She is the secretary for the PA Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a member of the Judiciary Committee of the Montgomery Bar Association. Ms. Winegrad volunteers to represent children in abuse, dependency and criminal actions for the Montgomery County Advocacy Project. Erik Blasic, Esq.
Erik W. Blasic is an associate attorney at Silverman, Tokarsky & Forman LLC in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where his practice focuses primarily on family law while also handling matters involving veterans benefits, estate planning, business formation and nonprofit law. Ms. Brennan is a partner at Momjian Anderer LLC, a Philadelphia-based family law firm. Ms. Brennan is the former Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section and a member of its Executive Committee. She served as a Council Member for the Pennsylvania State Bar Association’s Family Law Section and is a Co-Chair of the Section’s Legislative Committee. Ms. Brennan is a frequent volunteer for Philadelphia’s Volunteers for the Indigent Program. He is the vice chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Domestic Relations Committee. Mr. Hark is a past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section and of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section and is a fellow in the American Academy of Matromonial Lawyers. He has been the chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service Oversight Committee. He has chaired the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Legislative Committee, and has served as the section’s Programming Committee co-chair and on its council and executive committee. Lydia Terrill, Esq.
Lydia Terrill has been practicing family law exclusively for over ten years. After receiving her Juris Doctor from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2014, Lydia spent over five years working as an associate at a family law firm in Montgomery County. In 2020, Lydia founded her own successful solo family law practice, which she ran from 2020 until 2023, when she joined the Law Office of Christina M. DeMatteo LLC. Lydia has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine for the years 2020-2024, a highly selective given to just 2.5 percent of lawyers in Pennsylvania. Lydia has chosen to limit her practice to family law, including the areas of divorce, equitable distribution, spousal support/alimony, child custody, child support, protection from abuse, and prenuptial agreements. Caren E. Morrissey, Esq.
Ms. Morrissey is an equitable distribution Hearing Officer in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, having previously served in the same role in Chester County. Ms. Morrissey has dedicated her career to complex family law matters. While in private practice, she served as Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Section; Executive Director of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court; and has served as a council member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section. Ms. Morrissey has taught numerous continuing legal education courses for both the PBA Family Law Section as well as the MBA Family Law Section. Anthony M. Hoover, Esq.
Mr. Hoover is a founding member of the Levin Hoover Family Law Firm in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoover has dedicated his career to family law, and he practices throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoover was recently an Adjunct Instructor of Family Law at the Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Mr. Hoover is a frequent CLE presenter, former member of the PBA Family Law Section Council, former member of the PBA Family Law Section Executive Council, prior chair of the PBA Family Law Rules Committee, prior member of the PBA Family Law Programming Committee, and member of the Dauphin County Bar Association Family Law Section Court Relations Committee. He has been a leader in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, including selection for the 2015-2016 class of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute, and prior member of the PBA Conference of County Bar Leaders Executive Council. Mr. Hoover is active and has strong connections at the local level. He is the former chair of the Dauphin County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, current member of the Dauphin County Court Relations Committee, and former Dauphin County Bar Association board member and Dauphin County foundation member. Mr. Hoover’s law career started as a clerk in York County, and he regularly r.,ractices in the southern Pennsylvania. He has a passion for pro bono service and community involvement. Mr. Hoover participated in the 2015 PBA Pro Bono CLE Video Project, Wills for Heroes, direct representation of complex custody matters, former board member of the Community Justice Project, and has presented CLEs regarding pro bono service. In 2018-2019, Mr. Hoover was involved in developing a project to provide free legal service for families who require legal guardianship of their adult children.
Christina M. DeMatteo, Esq.
Christina M. DeMatteo is the founder and managing attorney at the Law Office of Christina M. DeMatteo, LLC, in Blue Bell, PA. Ms. DeMatteo focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including equitable distribution, support, and custody matters. She is active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section and currently serves as Second Vice Chair of the Section. Paula M. Borradaile, Esq.
Ms. Borradaile is a hearing officer in Chester County where she primarily hears equitable distribution cases. Prior to becoming a hearing officer, she worked as family law attorney in the five county Philadelphia area four fourteen years. Ms. Borradaile also clerked for the Superior Court of New Jersey Family Division in Cumberland County, New Jersey. Ms. Borradaile is a member, and past president, of the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court, a professional organization dedicated to promoting legal excellence, civility and professionalism. She is also a member of the family law sections of the Pennsylvania, and Chester County Bar Associations. Ms. Borradaile received her B.S.B.A from the University of Richmond and her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
