Faculty

Andrew J. Barron, Esq.

Andrew Barron represents executors, trustees and beneficiaries in all aspects of trust and estate administration. He also counsels high-net-worth individuals and families in their estate and tax planning. Andrew works closely with estate planning clients to attain their personal, tax and business planning goals. He drafts and reviews wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts (including SLATs, ILITs, GRATs, QPRTs and charitable split-interest trusts), beneficiary designations, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate and business planning documents. He is also well-versed in planning for individuals with special needs. Andrew also advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the administration of trusts and estates. He prepares income, gift, estate and inheritance tax returns, as well as trust modification, termination and related agreements. He understands that estates work can be intensely personal and should be treated differently than a business deal. To that end, he helps clients navigate complex family dynamics to efficiently and empathetically resolve conflict. Andrew previously served as an assistant city solicitor in the Major Tax Unit for the City of Philadelphia Law Department, providing him with valuable insight into state and local tax matters. Andrew also maintains an active pro bono caseload.
