Overview

As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes the legal landscape, lawyers face a new challenge: understanding how to use AI effectively, safely, and strategically. This comprehensive CLE program brings together three essential sessions to give attorneys a full-spectrum understanding of modern AI—from the fundamentals, to hands-on skills, to the ethical frameworks that govern responsible use.

We begin with “Getting Started with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Law Firms,” a clear and accessible introduction to what current AI tools can do, how they fit into firm workflows, and where attorneys are already seeing measurable benefits. This session demystifies terminology, highlights practical applications, and equips participants with foundational knowledge.

Building on that foundation, “30 Killer Prompts in 60 Minutes + the Nuts & Bolts of Prompt Engineering” provides a fast-paced, practical dive into the techniques lawyers need to get accurate, reliable outputs from AI systems. Attendees will explore the structure of effective prompts, learn strategies to reduce hallucinations, and take home 30 ready-to-use prompts.

The program concludes with “Ethics of AI Use,” a critical examination of the professional responsibilities implicated by AI adoption. This session addresses confidentiality, competence, and emerging bar guidance—ensuring participants understand how to integrate AI tools safely and ethically within their practice.

Together, these three sessions offer attorneys a holistic roadmap for adopting AI with confidence—combining foundational understanding, practical capability, and ethical compliance to help lawyers modernize their practice and deliver stronger value to clients.
