Did you catch Phil Bogdanoff’s deep dive into Season Two of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer—and help make it one of PBI’s Top Ten Programs of 2025?
PBI is thrilled to welcome back Phil Bogdanoff, a nationally acclaimed ethics speaker and fan favorite on the CLE circuit, for an all-new, high-energy program. In this engaging two-hour CLE, Phil brings Season Three of The Lincoln Lawyer into the courtroom, using unforgettable film clips to explore constitutional law, trial tactics, and ethical landmines every litigator recognizes. From impeachment and evidentiary strategy to real disciplinary cases that put careers at risk, the program delivers sharp legal analysis with an entertaining edge, capped off with a candid look at professionalism and the pressures of modern legal practice. Smart, practical, and genuinely fun—this is CLE that keeps attorneys hooked from opening scene to final verdict.
Prime-Time Drama Meets Real-World Law.
Using Season Three of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer as a case study, this engaging CLE examines real-world constitutional, evidentiary, and ethical issues through the lens of a high-profile fictional trial. When defense attorney Mickey Haller confronts the murder of former client Gloria “Glory Days” Dayton and the prosecution of her online manager, Julian La Cosse, the series raises timely questions about alleged police misconduct, prosecutorial overreach, and defense counsel strategy.
Ethics on Trial: When Advocacy Pushes the Line
Through selected film clips, Bogdanoff analyzes Fourth and Fifth Amendment issues, including Miranda, and evaluates trial tactics such as witness impeachment, opening statements, prior bad acts evidence, and the application of the rules of evidence. The program also takes a hard look at Haller’s ethical decision-making during trial, comparing his conduct to real disciplinary cases and exploring where advocacy crosses into professional risk. The session concludes with a practical discussion of professionalism, lawyer well-being, and strategies for managing the pressures of modern legal practice.
Enjoy ethics with edge? If this seminar has you hooked, consider the prequel: Lies, Deceit and the Ethical Rules, Can Attorneys Practice Deception? Phil Bogdanoff is on-screen again and pushes even harder on where advocacy ends and ethics begin. Mark your calendar: April 21.
