Overview

Two Popular Ethics CLEs. One Fabulous Program.

Why choose between Deal or No Deal: Ethics on Trial and Legally Blonde: Bend, Snap & Ethical Traps when you can have both?

Join The Comedian of Law, Joel Oster, for a unique two-in-one legal ethics experience that combines real-life disciplinary dilemmas with unforgettable lessons from the world of Legally Blonde. This entertaining and thought-provoking program will put your knowledge of professional responsibility to the test while exploring the ethical challenges lawyers face in real life—and on the big screen.

In Deal or No Deal: Ethics on Trial, you’ll match wits with disciplinary authorities as Joel humorously presents the facts behind real attorneys who ran afoul of the Rules of Professional Conduct. You’ll decide whether an attorney should take the disciplinary “deal” or take their chances at trial and face the penalty actually imposed. From inappropriate contact with jurors and lying attorneys to fist fights with judges, inappropriate romantic relationships with clients, substance abuse, and more, these true-to-life scenarios will test your ethical judgment.

Then, it’s time to bend, snap, and examine professional responsibility through the fabulous lens of Legally Blonde. Through Elle Woods’ journey from sorority sweetheart to Harvard Law student and future attorney, we’ll take a closer look at key scenes from the film and explore real-world issues involving conflicts of interest, bias, professionalism, and ethical decision-making in the legal profession.

Two CLE favorites. One program. Plenty of ethical traps. Come test your judgment, revisit the Rules of Professional Conduct, and see legal ethics in a way that is anything but ordinary.
