Overview
Increased use and acceptance of drugs and alcohol have changed the nature of impaired driving and have added new challenges in this evolving area of the law. This session will discuss the complications of medical marijuana and criminal law.

Patrick Nightingale Esq.
Mr. Nightingale is the owner of PKN Law in Pittsburgh. Mr. Nightingale practices state and federal criminal defense In Southwestern Pennsylvania. His areas of practice Include trial, appellate, and postconviction criminal defense. Patrick is the chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association Medical Marijuana and Hemp Law Committee. He has recently been named vice-chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Medical Marijuana Committee. Patrick has taught numerous CLEs on the topic of medical marijuana and and marijuana law and policy. Prior to entering private practice he was an Assistant District Attorney for six years. While ADA he was a founding member of the District Attorney’s Domestic Violence Unit and he trained regional police department in evidence collection and handling Protection From Abuse matters. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
