Overview
This practical program is designed to provide attorneys who do not regularly practice real estate law with the essential knowledge and tools needed to navigate commercial real estate transactions. The program will cover the key transactional documents and provisions attorneys should understand, fundamental land use and zoning considerations, and the due diligence process involved in commercial real estate acquisitions.
Through practical guidance and real-world considerations, faculty will address common drafting and negotiation issues, municipal approvals, title and survey matters, environmental and zoning concerns, access and utility issues, and other potential risks that can affect a property's value, use, financing, or development. Attendees will gain practical strategies for identifying issues early, managing risk, and effectively advising clients involved in commercial real estate transactions.
