Overview

The Second Amendment explicitly guarantees that, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed…”

Owning a gun is a right in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States, but it is also a serious responsibility. The regulation of firearms is in part based on federal law, but there is also a lot left to each individual state. Violating a restriction can result in criminal convictions and significant jail time.

Master the complexities of federal and state gun laws.

This course will illuminate the many facets of gun owners' rights, at both the state and federal levels. It will give you a wealth of beneficial, practical knowledge for both yourself and your clients. The course will help you:

  • Map the maze of state and federal constitutional, statutory, and regulatory provisions.
  • Learn where federal and state gun laws converge, where they diverge, and what to do about it.
  • Understand how gun law pervades our legal system – popping up in the most unexpected places: civil law, administrative law, estate law, real estate, business, investments, zoning, and criminal law
