Overview
Title insurance is a type of insurance that protects property buyers and lenders from financial loss due to defects in a property's title or ownership history. When you purchase a property, a title search is usually conducted to ensure that the property is free of any legal claims, liens, or disputes over ownership. However, not all issues may be discovered during this search, which is where title insurance comes in.
