John S. Whitelaw, Esq.

Mr. Whitelaw is Advocacy Director for the Community Legal Aid Society in Wilmington, Delaware. Before that he was co-director of the Aging and Disabilities Unit of Community Legal Services, Inc. in Philadelphia. Previously, he worked for legal aid programs in Delaware, West Virginia, and Minnesota. He has over 35 years of experience in representing clients before the Social Security Administration, having represented hundreds of individuals in administrative hearings, federal district court and the Court of Appeals. He graduated from Stanford Law School in 1986. He holds an A.B. in history from the College of William and Mary, which he received in 1983.
