Stephanie Rawitt Esq.

Ms. Rawitt is a Senior Claims Specialist and Counsel for Markel Corporation. She oversees employment-related claims as well as third party discrimination claims and other company-related matters. Ms. Rawitt has over 25 years of experience working with employers on employment law-related matters and has provided guidance as well as litigation support to a variety of businesses and organizations. She is Martindale-Hubbell Law Firm Directory “AV-Preeminent®” rated, was recognized by Best Lawyers in America in 2021, and has also been recognized as a 2011 Top Women Lawyer in the Northeast by Arrive magazine. Ms. Rawitt is admitted to the Bar in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts (ret.) and Florida (inactive). Ms. Rawitt received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. from the Syracuse University, cum laude. 

John DuMont JD, Esq.

Mr. DuMont is the Director of the Pittsburgh District Office of the United States Department of Labor’s Wage & Hour Division, which covers the Western half of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and parts of Virginia and Maryland. He served as an Investigator with the Department for 13 years, Assistant Director for 2 years, and has served as the Director for the past 21 years. He regularly lectures on federal labor laws. Mr. DuMont received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law where we was a member of the Law Review and graduated magna cum laude in 1993.

Bryan Smolock

Bryan Smolock is the director of the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance. He has been with the Department in various roles since 2001, including an investigator, administrator, and most recently his role as the head of office with 5 district locations and over 40 employees. Bryan is a graduate of Alvernia University.

Karen Welton

Ms. Welton is the CORPS (Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist) for the Pittsburgh District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division. Prior to becoming CORPS in 2016, she was an Investigator for the Wage and Hour Division since 1997. Ms. Welton has extensive training and experience in enforcing the Fair Labor Standards Act, Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and several other Federal labor laws including those dealing with government contracts, wage garnishments and H-2A and H-2B workers. She is the recipient of a Secretary’s Exceptional Achievement Award, an Administrator’s Impact Award, and a Distinguished Career Service Award. She has also been a Trainer at Basic I national training for new investigators and at a 2017 Government Contracts Prevailing Wage Conference. She is a graduate of John Carroll University with a BSBA in Management and Spanish and served one year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in San Antonio, Texas.
