Steven Weisblatt MD
Dr. Weisblatt received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He served for fifteen years on the psychiatric teaching faculty at Einstein and on the Consultation Liaison Service consulting on elderly medical and surgical patients. For eight years he served on the psychiatric teaching faculty at SUNY Downstate. He is boarded in General and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Weisblatt has three decades of experience in evaluating the accuracy of diagnosis and effectiveness of treatments for complicated patients. He has served people with disabilities as co-author of the APA guidelines for residency training directors, co-author of the “Standards of Care” chapter in an international text as well as expert consultant to the Attorney General of N.Y. State, the U.S. Dept. of Justice and the Canadian Health Ministry. He has spoken widely on the topic of accurate diagnosis and effective treatments especially in complicated patients with mood disorders. He is an active member of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He originated and authored the “Clinician’s Corner” column in Bipolar Magazine and has served as an expert consultant to the federal government in both the U.S. and Canada as well as state and local governments and healthcare organizations throughout North America. He maintains an office in Stamford, CT and is licensed and sees patients in New York, Connecticut, Maine, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Tammy A. Weber, Esq., CELA
Ms. Weber is the managing principal of Marshall, Parker Weber, LLC (www.paelderlaw.com) with offices in Williamsport, Plains, and Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. Her practice focuses on elder law, estate and business succession planning. She graduated magna cum laude from Lycoming College and received her law degree from Temple University. She is a certified elder law attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is also a VA accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans’ benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs. She previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania where she was involved with major federal investigations and prosecutions. While in this position, she was the recipient of the Department of Health Human Services Inspector General’s Integrity Award for the investigation and criminal conviction of the first Medicare money laundering seizure case in the country. Ms. Weber has also served as an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph’s University Graduate Criminal Justice Program where she designed and taught a course on law and social policy. For several years, she sat on the editorial board of the Legal intelligencer. Ms. Weber is President of the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (“PAELA”). She is Past Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and serves on Council, Chair of the Lycoming Law Association’s Community Activities and Outreach Committee, and Past President of the Lycoming Law Association. Ms. Weber is Immediate Past Chair of the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (“FCFP”) and a Trustee for Lycoming College, Williamsport PA. She is a member of the Northcentral Pennsylvania Estate Planner’s Council and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (“NAELA”). She also serves on the Ethics Advisory Board for Albright LIFE.
