Overview

Welcome to the forefront of legal innovation! Join us for a captivating seminar as we delve into the intriguing realm of “Psychedelic Drugs: The Next Legal Frontier.” This groundbreaking CLE promises to be an enlightening journey into the evolving legal landscape surrounding psychedelics.

This CLE covers:

The emerging and astonishing area of law dealing with psilocybin- mushrooms.  Despite researchers finding substantial medical benefits in this psychedelic it is still illegal under U.S. Law. However, much like cannabis, states are taking their own paths to the legalization of psilocybin. Both Oregon and Colorado have passed legislation legalizing the supervised use and research into mushrooms. With states starting to legalize this Schedule I drug, we look at the prospects of legalization in Pennsylvania. Will mushrooms follow the path of cannabis?

Ketamine- a Schedule III controlled substance used to treat severe major depressive disorder and treatment-resistant depression is available in a number of clinics throughout the Commonwealth, administered by ketamine infusions (IV) or nasal spray. This cutting edge therapy has helped patients manage anxiety, chronic pain, and addiction. Hear how clinics in Pennsylvania are administering Ketamine to address mental health conditions, pain management, and substance use disorders.

This CLE will explore the basics of psychedelics and legalization efforts that have started across the country and in Pennsylvania.
