The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down or severely disrupted businesses--big and small--all across America. Commercial tenants are declaring force majeure at an unprecedented level to be excused of their rent and other contractual obligations. Landlords have their own obligations to meet, and many will be stretched beyond the breaking point by the disruption.
